About

I started Out of Line in 2000, alongside one of the biggest adventures of my life—raising my daughter as a single mom. In many ways, I grew this brand the same way I raised her: with love, patience, and a steady mantra of baby steps. What began as a handful of cotton jersey designs—modern silhouettes with unique, subtle details—has grown into a collection of pieces designed for women who want clothing with a point of view.
From the start, I saw a real need for high-quality jersey clothing that felt good, fit beautifully, and was easy to care for. I wanted to create pieces that stood out in the best way—thoughtfully designed, a little off-center, and always with a focus on craftsmanship.
Today, that vision is still at the heart of Out of Line. Now based in the Seattle area, this brand is mostly a one-woman show. I design every piece, handle most of the making, and take on all the creative and business tasks that keep it going.
Every garment is cut and sewn in my studio, with some small-batch production and many pieces made to order. This slow-fashion approach allows me to be intentional about what I create, reducing waste and ensuring each piece is made with care. There’s no assembly line here—each design is crafted from start to finish by one set of hands. That attention to detail shows in the workmanship, something customers have recognized and appreciated over the years.
Take a look around—I hope you find something that speaks to your style and supports you in your everyday life.
I'm so glad you're here,
