about
Modern handmade clothing, fashioned out of natural fiber fabrics. Beautifully simple designs. Comfortable and minimalist pieces. Ethically made, limited edition and made to order.
Out of Line was founded in 2000 by Beki Wilson in Eugene Oregon. It started with a handful of designs in cotton jersey, modern silhouettes with unique subtle details. At the time, there was a real need for high quality jersey clothing options for women. Beki focused on flattering fit, easy care, and styles with details outside of the box.
Today in 2024 Out of Line is focused on that same customer. Women looking for clothing with a point of view, a little off center, focused on fit, comfort, and easy care. Located in the Seattle area, Out of Line is mostly a one woman show. Beki does all of the designing, most of the making, and all of the creative and business tasks.
The cutting and sewing is done in studio, some small batch production and some made to order. This process of production is considered slow fashion, keeping in mind amounts being produced and limiting waste. These pieces are made start to finish by one person, not on an assembly line. Great care is taken to get it right and the workmanship is top notch as noted in reviews.
Take a look around and find some styles that reflect your point of view and will support you in your day to day.
